This route leads up the steep rocks of the smaller crag; its starting point is near the entrance to Földvári Cave. It is a pleasant, varied climb—truly a route suitable for families.
There are multiple parking spots, which are free. The approach is well maintained. Gear rental is ad-hoc, so it is recommended that you bring your own.
The official difficulty rating of this route is B/C. However, the climbing community rates it more like B.
The route has a difficulty rating of B/C and is relatively short (55 m). We do not recommend it for complete beginners, but sporty beginners accompanied by an experienced climber (on a rope) can manage it.
This is a shorter trip. The climb takes approximately 10 min, the approach 30 min and the descent 30 min. The whole activity takes a little over 70 minutes. Ideal for a sporty morning or afternoon.
This route is mainly a traverse. Although the secured section is 55 meters long, it only gains 10 meters of elevation. Most of the movement is sideways rather than vertical.
The route is moderately demanding. With difficulty B/C and a length of 55 m, it will test your fitness, but an average fit hiker should manage it without major problems.
The essentials are a certified via ferrata set (energy absorber), climbing helmet, climbing harness and sturdy footwear. Via ferrata gloves are also strongly recommended. Due to the difficulty level B/C, we recommend bringing a resting sling for safer and more comfortable breaks.
