Masochyst je nejtěžší zajištěnou cestou na Slánské hoře ve Slaném a patří mezi šest ferrat zdejšího areálu. Přestože měří jen 61 metrů, nabízí velmi silové lezení v převislém terénu s minimem umělých stupů, takže vyžaduje dobrou techniku, sílu paží i jistotu pohybu.
Ferrata vede téměř přímo vzhůru. Hned od nástupu čeká lezce strmý až převislý výstup, kde je nutné využívat především přirozené skalní chyty. Ve druhé polovině se sklon stěny postupně zmírňuje a cesta se napojuje na Slánskou promenádu, po které lze pokračovat k vrcholu nebo se vrátit zpět k nástupu.

The official difficulty rating of this route is D/E.
Not recommended. The difficulty D/E (rated by the community as D/E) requires previous experience, strength and confidence on rock. A beginner could struggle and potentially block themselves or other climbers.
This is a very short local or training route. The approach takes 5 min, the actual climbing takes about 20 min and the descent takes 5 min. The whole activity can be completed in under an hour (approximately 30 minutes). Ideal for a quick workout after work.
The secured section (steel cable) measures 60 meters. During the climb, you will overcome an elevation gain of 26 meters.
The route is technically and physically very demanding (difficulty D/E), but relatively short. It requires explosive strength and a strong grip, while overall endurance is less important.
The essentials are a certified via ferrata set (energy absorber), climbing helmet, climbing harness and sturdy footwear. Via ferrata gloves are also strongly recommended. Due to the difficulty level D/E, we recommend bringing a resting sling for safer and more comfortable breaks.
