Ferrata Perunika

The official difficulty rating of this route is C. However, the climbing community rates it more like B/C.

The route has a difficulty rating of C and is relatively short (280 m). We do not recommend it for complete beginners, but sporty beginners accompanied by an experienced climber (on a rope) can manage it.

This is a shorter trip. The climb takes approximately 30 min, the approach 35 min and the descent 45 min. The whole activity takes a little over 110 minutes. Ideal for a sporty morning or afternoon.

The secured section (steel cable) measures 280 meters. During the climb, you will overcome an elevation gain of 143 meters.

The route is physically demanding. The combination of difficulty C, length 280 m and elevation gain 143 m means you will spend more than 30 min on the rock and will need good upper-body strength.

The essentials are a certified via ferrata set (energy absorber), climbing helmet, climbing harness and sturdy footwear. Via ferrata gloves are also strongly recommended. Due to the difficulty level C, we recommend bringing a resting sling for safer and more comfortable breaks.
